The Blue Jays have agreed to terms with Manuel Cordova, a 16-year-old righthander from Venezuela. Terms were not immediately available.
Cordova is 6-foot-2, 180 pounds and reaches the high-80s with his fastball, though some scouts project him to be a power arm in the future. Baseball America can read Cordova's complete scouting report and access other reports on top international free agents.
Cordova is the fourth major international signing that Baseball America has confirmed for the Blue Jays since the international signing period opened on July 2. The organization also agreed to sign Venezuelan shortstop/outfielder Wilmer Becerra, Dominican shortstop Dawel Lugo and Venezuelan outfielder Jesus Gonzalez.
