Blue Jays Agree To Sign Wilmer Becerra, Jesus Gonzalez

The Blue Jays have agreed to sign Wilmer Becerra and Jesus Gonzalez, a pair of 16-year-olds from Venezuela. Terms were not immediately available.

Becerra, 16, has worked out for teams at shortstop and in the outfield, though he's expected to immediately move to the outfield. At 6-foot-3, 175 pounds, Becerra is a righthanded hitter with good size and present speed in the 60-yard dash. Gonzalez, a 16-year-old right fielder, is 6-foot-1, 190 pounds and stands out for his combination of raw power from the right side and arm strength.

BA subscribers have access to full scouting reports on both Becerra and Gonzalez.
