Rohrbough is included among the disabled above, while Gustafson and Northcraft were temporary residents of the Rookie-level Danville roster at the time of this post. Nothing yet on Lobanov.

The Rockies released Crede on Feb. 17 when he opted not to attend spring training. As far as I know, he's still a free agent.

Matt, thank you for the info on Gabe Kapler and Velez. The Player Search for MiLB seems to be woefully outdated on many players. Another example is Joe Crede. The Rockies signed him to a minor league contract in the offseason, yet the Player Search shows him as being on rehab assignment for the White Sox. Any idea where Joe Crede might be?

Any word on where Rockies pitcher Peter Tago or Dodgers OF Brian Cavazos-Galvez are this year?
I can't find them on any rosters or transactions. Cavazos-Galvez comes up on Great Lakes on a search on MILB but has not played this year and there is nothing on Tago at all.

Velez is included in the Dodgers' 7-day DL listing above, while Kapler has been temporarily assigned to Rookie-level Ogden in a roster-juggling maneuver.

The Orioles transferred veterans Bierbrodt and Riske to the short-season Aberdeen roster, not to play in the New York-Penn League of course, but because they didn't want to tie up a disabled or restricted list spot. Expect a more final decision soon.

Thank you for including the blurb on the Padres and LaChappa. The organization's gesture deserves comment.

Certainly there's a reason. I just don't know what it is. When teams make use of the suspended list it's typically in cases where a player has violated team policy (insubordination, tardiness, etc.) or has been suspended by the league in which he plays. These are usually short-term stays and, often, short-term lapses in judgment.

It is wonderful to see that the new administration in San Diego has the good sense to continue Priscilla Oppenheimer's legacy by DLing Matt LaChappa. It was 15 years ago this week that he had a stroke in the bullpen and he's stayed on the roster – and on their insurance – ever since.
