Mr. Badler,
Thank you for the update on Rougner Odor. I believe you/ BA were there to see him in person at a workout in Tampa Bay? I was impressed with him. Word on the street has him listed a little younger. Any word on this? Heard his buscones were asking for $3 million last summer, when he was running in the 7.1- 7.3 range. Did Preller approve this deal? Did he see him? Did you see if the other Venezuelan players get signed? I know the American kid, the 6.3 runner at the same workout got picked up by Baltimore and the other outfielder who ran a 6.4 is not playing after getting caught selling drugs. Does the BA subscription give you this kinda coverage?

I think Odor's lack of size was a concern for many teams, even some of the teams that were interested in signing him. It's hard to find many teams willing to give seven-figure bonuses to a sub six-foot guy, even if he projects as a middle infielder. Jurickson Profar and Jose Vinicio are exceptions, but they're both a little bit bigger than Odor and their defensive tools graded out higher.

What caused his signing bonus to come in much lower than projected in your preview?

As a Rangers fan, I'm pleased. You can't have enough teenage shortstops. As a non-suscriber, I grateful to have the video.
