AFL Announces Saturday’s Rising Stars Rosters

i will definiately have this on the DVR – have seen a few of these guys in person, will no doubt be seeing a few others

Josh Zeid is with the Phillies not the Nationals.

Gentlemen, under pitchers you have Josh Zeid listed as being with the Nationals…it should b e with the Phillies. Thank you

Is this based on prospect status or performance?  The league leader in ERA and WHIP didnt make the team.  How is this team chosen?

Just so you are aware, Josh Zeid plays for the Phillies, not the Nationals. Both he and De Fratus are the two Phillies guys to make the AFL Rising All Star Team.

Josh Zeid, pitcher for the eastern division, actually plays for the Phillies.

Congrats to all those selected!

Thanks guys, sorry about the misprint. The post should be updated now.

Travis, the team is chosen by the scouting and farm directors of every major league club, in conjunction with AFL personnel. The players are generally picked based on a mix of performance and prospect status, although part of it is based on who the major league club will let play in the game, particularly with regards to pitchers.

A rising stars game, which is on the mlb network on saturday night….. with no Bryce Harper?

Harper is taxi squad…and taxi squad players are not eligible for this game.

WHERE WAS  RIZZOTTI ??????
