You can almost consider these recalls a refresher course on which players are on 40-man rosters but did not receive September callups.

MLR 11(a) provides that the recall of a player on an Optional assignment must occur on or before October 1. Optional assignments won’t be possible until next February 16 (Closed Period, MLR 11 (e)).

I'd be surprised if more than a handful of the recalled appeared in a game. Just a procedural move with no impact on active rosters.

Were the players that were recalled from the minors actually put on a big league uniform? Because alot of these players recalled didnt appear in any games for their big league team.
