I assume Ryan meant that Brandon Belt will make an appearance in the minors annually, because he's not really a top MLB prospect like many of the others on the list. He's more of a AAAA hitter than is having a season for the ages.

I think Montgomery was a more publicized prospect before this season because of his early success and superior fastball velocity, but it's hard to argue with Lamb's great control, and plus secondary stuff from the left side…he's also been healthier this season and had better results. MiLB player of the year is about best performer in the minors more than it is about flashy prospects.
Although Strasburg only pitched for a couple of months in the MiLB, I think the attention he brought to Minor League Baseball should be considered. I also think Brandon Belt is a player that makes an appearance in the minors annually.

What about M. Montgomery? Has Lamb more talent than him? I have seen both guys pitching and they look ready for MAJORS!!!!!!!!!!!!
