Venezuelan center fielder Yorman Garcia has agreed to terms with the Diamondbacks for a six-figure bonus, according to multiple international sources.
Garcia, a 16-year-old righthanded hitter from Caracas, is one of the best athletes in Latin America, a plus-plus runner and a line-drive hitter with a wiry, projectable body. He was believed to be in line for one of the top bonuses out of Venezuela this summer, though according to international sources his bonus ended up in the lower six-figure range.
Baseball America subscribers can read a full scouting report on Garcia as well as scouting reports on more than 30 of the top Latin American prospects from this year's signing class.
