I meant that Mr Falcons release left Durham high schools without any ballplayers.
Roberts was Chapel Hill High and Harrison was South Granville.

Any updates on Toronto minor league catcher Travis D'Arnaud? This kid is an exciting young prospect and I'm wondering when Blue Jays' fans will see him back in action. D'Arnaud is listed on the DL with a back injury, but I saw the kid in Lakeland right after the injury with a wrapped up hand and a bandaged arm. Was D'Arnaud in some type of accident?

Found the answer to my question about Travis D'Arnaud/Blue Jays in milb.com transactions today:
04/29/2010 – Status Change – Dunedin Blue Jays – Travis d'Arnaud
Dunedin Blue Jays placed C Travis d'Arnaud on the 7-Day disabled list retroactive to April 27, 2010.

Anyone know what's wrong with the kid and how soon he's expected back? Thanks.

Anything on the Toronto Blue Jays top catching prospect Travis D'Arnaud who was part of the Roy Halladay trade? Read a good story on milb.com about him just the other day. Then, I went to check out his FSL Dunedin stats page and noticed that the kid hasn't played since April 24th when he DH'ed. D'Arnaud hasn't caught even one game since April 23rd, but he doesn't show up transactions as on the DL or promoted to AA New Hamphire. Any word on this kid's status? Thanks in advance.

Matt: Please educate me. What does "Placed on Suspended List" mean? In particular, in the Pirates notes, you mention that Stephen Jackson was placed on the suspended list. Yet, he pitched on 23 Apr and last night, 28 Apr. Any insight you may be able to provide? Tks.

Don't forget about Orioles second baseman Brian Roberts, Rangers lefty Matt Harrison and Nationals Triple-A first baseman Josh Whitesell—though he appears to be more of a California kid given his high school and college. Angels lefty reliever Drew Taylor, who attended North Carolina State and now plays for high Class A Rancho Cucamonga, also is listed with a Durham birthplace.

I believe the release of Ryan Falcon leaves the home of BA, Durham NC, with 0 pro ball players at the moment.
He had a great year last year too,
Trae Gore could maybe, maybe change that this summer

Any further info behind the release of Ryne White? It seems even with his slow start at Daytona that an outright release of a former 4th Round Pick is a bit extreme. Half of the compensation from the Heilman deal is gone now
