Arm stiffness is about the only thing that's held back Turner so far this season. The Tigers placed the prized low Class A West Michigan starter on the DL after he had struck out 11 and walked none in nine innings.

One of the International League's early standouts, Boesch batted .379/.455/.621 with three homers, three doubles and 17 RBIs in 15 games for Triple-A Toledo. The 25-year-old, a third-round pick from California in ’06, replaced the injured Carlos Guillen on the Tigers roster.
