		<description>J.P., good question. Bumgarner is only at 131 innings for the year, and he was effective (though hardly dominant) in his start. If the Giants think they need him, they should keep him in the rotation. If they don&#039;t, though, it might be wise to send him back to Connecticut, where the Defenders are in the Double-A Eastern League playoffs. Let him pitch there, in games that mean something, and stay tuned up for another big league shot. Then let him pitch when, you know, he&#039;s been in town for more than a day, and see what happens.</description>
