		<description>Best wishes indeed.  And I&#039;m terribly sorry to report this, HeavyHitter, but the ball&#039;s carom is an indication of the Darin absorbed a much worse blow.  The energy to absorb the ball AND reflect it with so much force.  It&#039;s called an elastic collision.  Inelastic collisions, where the ball drops to the ground, are generally safer, because so much of the energy is absorbed by the ball being deformed out of shape.</description>

		<description>Best wishes to Darin for a speedy and complete recovery. If there is any consolation, it is that the ball caromed so far. If it had fallen straight to the ground, that would signal that he had absorbed its full impact. Or at least that&#039;s what I&#039;ve heard.</description>
