Major League Baseball suspended two 21-year-old Dominican Summer League Mets righthanders for 50 games on Friday for testing positive for performance-enhancing substances.
Leandro Geremy, a native of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, tested positive for metabolites and Nandrolone. He was 1-2, 3.58 with 17 strikeouts and 13 walks in 28 relief innings.
Jose Valentin tested positive for a metabolite of Boldenone. The native of San Cristobal, D.R., was 1-5, 3.48 with 37 strikeouts and 28 walks in 44 innings.
