Outfielder Josh Reddick did his part in Lancaster’s (Red Sox) 6-3 win over Stockton (Athletics). He went 3-for-4 with two doubles a run scored and two RBIs lifting him to a .327/.339/.542 line.

It was a quiet night as one game was postponed and the others didn’t have a lot of action. Visalia (Diamondbacks) righthander Wes Roemer went six innings, allowing five runs on ten hits and two walks while striking out just one. He was handed his third loss of the season…Inland Empire (Dodgers) third baseman Josh Bell was 0-for-5 with three strikeouts and four men left on base…San Jose (Giants) righthander Kevin Pucetas gave up five runs on seven hits over 5 2/3 innings, but still managed to remain perfect (6-0, 2.81) as his counterpart gave up 12 runs over the same frames. He also had two walks and six strikeouts.

Prospect Of The Day
Frederick (Orioles) right fielder Brandon Tripp had a fair case for this honor two days ago and stepped it up yesterday. Last night he went 3-for-4 with two doubles, a run scored and two RBIs. He is now hitting .301/.367/.503 in 41 games at high Class A.

Third baseman Jared Goedert went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs in Kinston’s (Indians) 6-5 loss to Myrtle Beach (Braves)…Right fielder Cirillo Cumberbatch was 3-for-4 with a double and run scored in the same game…Second baseman Travis Jones was mostly responsible for Myrtle Beach’s win over Kinston (Indians). He went 2-for-4 with a home run and double…Righthander Tim Bascom went five innings, allowing an unearned run on five hits and two walks while striking out three in his 2008 debut.
What To Watch For Today
Deunte Heath (5-2, 2.89) and Brandon Erbe (4-3, 5.10) face off in an intriguing righthanded matchup tonight.

Prospect Of The Day
The FSL didn’t have a lot of action either, but it did have a debut we’ve been waiting a while for. Lefthander David Price will take today’s honors after pitching in his first professional game and not disappointing. Last year’s first overall pick went five innings, allowing just three hits and a walk while striking out four and giving up no runs.

Dunedin (Blue Jays) catcher J.P. Arencibia was 3-for-5 with two RBIs in a 10-2 win over Brevard County (Brewers)…Righthander Wade Townsend is back in high Class A and followed Price with 1 2/3 innings in which he allowed three hits, no runs and struck out two…Third baseman Mitch Hilligoss was 4-for-5 with a run scored in Tampa’s (Yankees) 5-0 win over Daytona (Cubs).
