Mike, Matt Angle is certainly having a fine season in Aberdeen. My concern with Angle is that he's primarily a singles hitter hitting .308 with only a .351 slugging average, with only six of his 57 hits going for extra bases. At 5-foot-10, 175 pounds, it's doubtful Angle will develop much more power, which significantly limits his value. Angle has an advanced approach at the plate, which is apparent from his high walk rate and ability to control the srike zone. His speed is a good attribute, as it makes him a threat on the bases and gives him plus range in center field, but Angle may be simply be a case of an advanced college hitter (Ohio State) beating up on weaker New York-Penn League pitching.

Matt angle is batting .308 with an on base percentage of .430, he is also leading the league in steals with 26. Also leading the league in runs with 48 and 2nd in the league for walks having 39. He is third in the league for hits having 58. As a lead off batter for Aberdeen Matt Angle is showing his selection at the plate, his quick hands, and his speed on the base paths.
