The International League announced its roster for the 20th annual Triple-A all-star game, the tenth pitting the IL against the Pacific Coast League. The contest takes place July 11—one night after the big league game—in Albuquerque.
The starting lineup, including two starting and two relief pitchers, were voted on by league managers and general managers, members of the media and online fan voting, with each of the three groups counting equally toward the final tally.
Ottawa’s John Russell will manage the International League squad, and Rochester’s Stan Cliburn and Buffalo’s Torey Lovullo will serve as coaches. Scranton/Wilkes-Barre’s Darren London is trainer.

Rochester leads all clubs with four all-star team members, and Indianapolis, Pawtucket and Toledo will send three players each. The Mud Hens, defending league champions and owners of the best record thus far, send the IL’s home run and RBIs leader in Hessman and two-thirds of their outfield in Raburn and Perez. The trio have the first-, third- and fourth-most extra-base hits in the league, the biggest reason why Toledo has scored more runs than any team.
Keppinger is the league’s batting leader with a .359 mark, while Bullington has nine wins and Doyne 21 saves to lead all IL pitchers. Garza’s 95 strikeouts are tops.
