Clint Frazier Blasts A Three-Run Home Run

We have a game recap on the High School Blog and will have more on the outstanding matchup between Clint Frazier's Loganville High and Austin Meadows' Grayson High later this week. To whet your appetite, here is footage of Frazier's first home run on the evening—an epic, three-run blast to put Loganville up 6-3, on their way to winning 14-4. This home run came on the first pitch he saw and was absolutely destroyed. It was filmed with a GoPro camera by Alyson Boyer Rode.

[...] Lastly, your latest draft update.  Clint Frazier and Austin Meadows high school teams squared off and it was Frazier who stole the show in front of around 80 scouts.  He hit two HRs including a bomb.  Although our guy Kevin has always liked him better, Frazier may have moved ahead of Meadows on draft boards overall.  Here's a video of that HR, courtesy of Baseball America, [...]

As billed, the match up between Loganville and Grayson was classic with Frazier getting the better end of the stick. The kids, both Frazier and Meadows are outstanding. But one little know and unpublicitized point is there is yet another school in Loganville, Georgia that plays baseball. A small, private, Christian School, Covenant Christian Academy is geographically between Grayson and Loganville. Covenant is the defending ICSGA State Champion who boasts some great talent as well. Senior Michael Barton and Sophomore Isiah Gilliam are no slouch in comparison to the others. Covenant touts three Sophomore pitchers who all stand 6'-2" plus and throw into the upper 80's. Covenant's non conference games are all the highest level GISA schools who will actually put them on the schedule. April 4th-10th they will travel to Jacksonville, FL to match up with Bolles and Episcopal in a round robin format just to get stronger competition. Make no mistake, the kids in Loganville, Georgia play second fiddle to no one on the baseball diamond.

That video was shot with a GoPro camera, which obviously isn’t meant for long-distance filming. We do have more video on our YouTube page with the second home run and some batting practice footage. You can view it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v.....CmqARb1oZQ
