Reds Ink Winker For $1 Million

The Reds have signed sandwich pick Jesse Winker to a $1 million bonus. An outfielder from Olympia HS in Orlando, he's a quality hitter with the strength to have some power. He had been committed to Florida.

Cincinnati selected Winker with the 49th overall pick, which carried a value of $1,025,900 for bonus-pool purposes.

jessie winker can flat out hit.Remember how Joey votto exploded on to the scene.keep an eye on jessie winker. For me one of the easiest ways to project the potential of a young hitter is by watching the amount of doubles, and the ability to hit a fast ball .As winker matures his double will turn into homeruns. The guy is a very goodfast ball hitter.Left or right handed pitching this guy has no fear. If Winker can stay healthy I would be very surprised if he dosen't put up some very nice numbers.
