Patrick, I don’t think that’s a good comparison. Almora might end up having a similar hit tool, but it really stops there. Almora has good power, but Braun’s is better. And Almora should get credit for his all-around game. He’s an excellent defender in center field while Braun is a left fielder with modest defense, at best.

Hi Guys,
From what I've seen from Almora, he reminds me a lot of Ryan Braun; smooth swinging right hander with plus power. I know that's a lofty comparison and his run grade isn't nearly as high, but is that a fair comparison? Who does Almora resemble coming out? Also, what do you believe his ceiling to be? Can he be as good as a Ryan Braun with his bat? Thanks a lot!

Tom, I’ll pinch-hit for Conor. No scout I know doubts Almora as a CF; in fact, that is probably his best tool. I got an 80 present defense on him even with his 45ish speed. He won’t get out of the draft’s top 10 picks. If he ran better he’d challenge Buxton to go 1/1. How’s that?

Just two quick questions on Almora:
1. Does he profile as a CF in the majors, or is he more of a corner type?
2. What is ALmora's best tool and who do you think grabs him in the draft, if you were a guessing man?
