The Brewers have signed second-round pick Jorge Lopez for $690,000. His bonus is the highest outside of the top 65 picks so far this year, and exceeds MLB's $522,000 guideline for his No. 70 draft slot.
A high school righthander from Cayey, P.R., Lopez is a projectable 6-foot-4, 180-pounder who already hits 93 mph regularly with his fastball. He also has shown the makings of an above-average curveball.
