Padres Sign Dore For $450,000

The Padres have signed eight-round pick Jose Dore for $450,000, three times MLB's recommended maximum for choices after the fifth round.

An outfielder from The First Academy in Orlando, Dore has a well-above-average arm and good power potential. He had committed to Florida State.

Jose is an amazing Team player, dedicated, and hard working, but most of all he has a lot of heart. I see Jose going places. I wish him nothing but the best!
