Thoughts On Round Three

There won't be commentary on every pick, but make sure you're also following us on Twitter, checking out our Draft Database and reading all of our 850+ scouting reports posted in our state-by-state writeups.

Three shortstops go off the board in the first five picks of round three with Rick Hague going to the Nationals, Mike Antonio going to the Royals and Tony Wolters going to the Indians.

Update: I'm surprised that Austin Wilson, Garin Cecchini, James Paxton, and A.J. Cole are still on the board. How far will they fall?

Update: The Athletics couldn't pick a better guy to represent their namesake than Georgia HS outfielder Aaron Shipman. He has four good tools right now and scouts project some power will come as he gains strength.

Update: The Rays were able to draft the top three hitters in the Northwest with Josh Sale and Drew Vettleson yesterday and Ryan Brett today. I'm sure all the players are thrilled.

Update: Some lesser-known names off the board in Round Three with Jordan Akins (Rangers), Jacob Realmuto (Marlins), Carter Jurica (Giants) and Samuel Tuivailala (Cardinals)

Update: Toronto selects Canadian outfielder (by way of Connors State JC in Oklahoma) Marcus Knecht.
