Clemson quarterback Kyle Parker will now be known as outfielder Kyle Parker. Sorry, Tigers fans, but he's playing baseball.
The Rockies get one of the draft's top power hitters, and they know what it will take to sign him. Parker wouldn't have gone 26th overall if they didn't think he would sign, and the Rockies have had success with football guys such as Seth Smith and of course Todd Helton. Now 14 of the first 26 have been four-year college players, with one junior college and 11 high school players.
