Stan: Thank you for your comment. If you read the article closely, you'll note that I identify two breaking balls: one at 81-82, and another at 77. I agree with any scout present who says that the 81-82 breaking ball (I refer to it as a slider, it may be a slurve or curve) when they claim it is one of the best HS pitches of its type in years. The second breaking ball at 77 (I refer to it as a curve) in my view is not as advanced as the 81-82 version. If you talked to the scouts present instead of simply overhearing what they discussed I am fairly certain they would make the same assessment.

Hey Perkin,
I got to believe you are mistaken when you indenified Covey CB not as good as the Slider. Being there too and over-hearing scouts calling his power CB at 81-83 the best they have seen in several years. These scouts are cross checkers and Scouting Directors. Like to hear you reasoning.
