HUGE news from Cardinals Camp today! They drafted the high ceiling pitcher we all hoped they would AND was able to sign him even though it was quite a bit over slot. With this signing and the big International signing of Mateo this looks like a very good year of adding high end talent to the system that we just dealt a number of quality players from. Props to Cards Ownership and Mo!

So how does this affect other hs arms still out there--Wheeler, Matzek, Purke? Obviously Wheeler had the best combination of stuff, projection and physicality and Matzek being lefthanded with a nice package of pitches and projection, as well as a ++ FB of his own, so will they settle in somewhere in the $3 million range now that Miller is done for $2.8?
