If he falls to the late 1st Round, I could see the Angels and Eddie Bane popping him with one of their two 1st Round picks. They have been known to take a flier on an injured pitcher (Adenhart) that they believe in and still pay him what he’s worth.

This is a real shame. Kyle is a great kid and I was really hoping for a great draft for him. I had the chance to meet him on the Cape and when he was with Team USA, and I can’t say enough good things about him.

Has there been any rumblings on how low Gibson will fall yet? Any chance he makes to Baltimore’s second pick (54 overall)? If so, with McPhail’s philosophy of developing pitching and buying bats, do you think Baltimore would jump on him after there being rumblings of them grabbing him at #5?

Too early to know how far he falls, but based on a brief conversation today I had with one club, I still think he goes in the first round somewhere, maybe even in the middle of it to a multipick team. Your Phillies already had a chance to sign him when they took him in the 36th round three years ago.
