All spring, it was no secret that the Braves liked high school righthander Zack Wheeler. They have a long track record of plucking prepsters from their backyard and Wheeler looked like he would be the next in line. But the Giants swooped in and selected the pitcher from East Paulding High one pick before the Braves had the chance.
