The second day of the draft—which consisted of rounds 4 through 30—is in the bag, so to speak. We’re bustling around trying to get the magazine off to the printers and feeding the beast that is the Draft Database. We haven’t forgotten about the Draft Blog, though, so stay tuned for more round-by-round analysis.

Marlins Fan here! Can someone please tell me a team had a worse draft then the Fish? It was terrible to watch from Rd 18-29 no one under 23yr old was taken. Are the Marlins gonna spend cash in Latin America or something? Worst draft by far
Posted by TJ | June 10, 2009 at 4:35 pm | ShortcutWhat happened to the kid from North Dakota, Cole Frenzel. BA had him going prior to the 12th round, which would have been the highest for a ND high school kid in draft history. What happened and do you think he will go on the third day. I’m surprised, I’ve seen him play alot in Arizona in tournaments, and he was always the best player on the field. Headed to UofA, thus he will get another shot in 3 years, but definately surprised not to see him come off the board.
