The Northwoods League is a college summer league. Delaying the deadline would allow players to hold off actually signing (and becoming ineligible) until the playoffs are done.

The attempt by the commisiioners office to lower bonuses will only serve to reward players for sitting around all summer and penalize players that want to go out and play this summer….
It is sad that the commissioners office doesnt realize that arbitrary reductions in bonuses do nothing but reward agents that would hold their players out regardless in order to beat thier chests next year about how their players didnt sign for the “slot” recommendations…. What a joke
