Thanks for the kind words for the OCC and the other JC programs in So Cal. They have a ton of depth this year. Some very seasoned players not only the sophmores but what a freshman class...

Sure do wish the scouts looked at character , leadership and ability to get the job done day in and day out. Size , future ability "guess" and the "buzz" seems to take presidence over playing history, stinging percentage, Small Ball ability, and overall "baseball sense" . One or two games and they create an opinion..,for such a stat driven sport they rely on inferior coaches (politics) rather than first hand quality stats...

Baseball was founded up on learning " The Game " plus respecting " The Game" and not about the 6-4 , 235 # Lefty that was pulled in the first inning...that everone said he is the real deal , just wait. Knuckle ball , Screw ball , and Slow ball Junk pitchers are a thing of the past...

Excellent character with God given "creative" talent should be the rule of thumb. Not the exception. Many players youns and seasoned get discuraged with the scouts rule and goal for getting to the next level. Scouts, Cross checkers should be enrolled in developing good talent from quality programs. Not the fenoms that show up on their stair step...Oh' me me me ...

The system needs an overhall top down ...Will it happen ?, probably not ... But it should.

Thanks for reading...

Whoelsebut,

A seasoned baseball coach that always worked more with the bottom of my line up to be successfull !
