I’d like to be optimistic on this one but after seeing Arrieta this spring it’s tough for me to believe the hype that he was a 1st round pick and somehow slipped to the 5th round. If anything his showing, the previous year influenced his being drafted in the 5th round. Still, he can be a quality starter if he reverts back to form. Anyway, holding out hope that something can be worked out with one of the top 3 players in the draft(Wieters)IMHO

Agreed, alexei. Stock dropped a bit with a disappointing season, but lots of upside. Still optimistic on Wieters. It would be tough not to sign him for around 8.5 and then see him go for that (or less) next year…

Great news! Arrieta was considered a late first round pick and the O’s got him in the fifth. Now, for Wieters.
