Giants Sign Fairley

The Giants have signed No. 29 overall pick Wendell Fairley for $1 million, $10,000 above MLB’s slot recommendation of $990,000. A Mississippi high school outfielder, Fairley was one of the best all-around high school athletes in the draft.

Fairley’s signing leaves 10 first-rounders who have yet to come to terms.

It appears the Nationals have signed #31 pick Josh Smoker to a bonus of a rumored $950K

The slot for Fairley would be 1.035 according to your figures. That would mean that he signed for 35K less than slot rather than 10K above slot.
