Familiar Face?

The Padres made a couple of stabs at nabbing some players who fell in the draft because of signability in the later round.

Their 35th-round choice, Ross Wilson, is a solid all-around baseball player who improved his bat speed and running ability this year. He’s also one of the featured characters in MTV’s Two-a-Days reality show based on the Hoover (Ala.) High football team, and is the brother of Alabama starting quarterback J.P. Wilson.
