Touchet,
As a long time PAC-10/Now PAC-12 we need to put up or shut up. SEC is dominating most of the sporting landscape because at present they do support athletics more than any other conference, period!
Until we can beat them, stop whining and GET R DONE!

(RESPONSE TO DANNY GREY'S POST)
Tastes like the shady GREY distant past, Danny Grey. Are you into chasing rainbows, too? I love how you set up your argument about the demeanor of fans from another league only to use that to make your digs. Hello Pot, what color is that kettle, exactly?
It is a sign of desperation and compensation to live deep in history, and you are really living in the past -- the far past. What does 1947, 1957 or even 1967 have to do with current affairs??? Hey Danny, how about the last 20 years? The PAC-10 has won 3 CWS and the SEC has won 7. THESE are relevant facts.
If you add up the total College World Series appearances, there is not much difference: the PAC-10 has 88 and the SEC 81. Don't look at the pace of these two conferences in the past 10 years, Danny -- SEC - 20 & PAC-10 - 12. OUCH!!!
The PAC-10 has 26 CWS championships all time and the SEC has 10 all time. At the pace the SEC is winning them (of late) and the amount of teams the SEC is putting into the CWS versus other leagues (with the exception of the ACC, not the PAC-10), we will make up that difference AND a couple of extra wins you might make along the way.
SIDEBAR: The PAC-10 fans (especially USC fans, go figure) have always been extremely vocal about the SEC being dirty, crooked, cheating programs. But, who is missing from this year's NCAA Tournament? Oh yeah,. a PAC-10 team (Arizona State) placed on 3-years of probation for major infractions violations...and not eligible for post season play this year.
It is funny, but SEC fans never really began beating our chests publicly until the inferiority complex of fans from one particular league frothed over with indignant contempt toward the SEC (particularly in football). We can't help your west coast inferiority complex, Danny...and quite often neither can your teams. Look at how your league did in the NCAA college basketball field of 64 this year. Look at the BCS in football. Look at the NCAA baseball tourney so far. There are hard facts and then there is whining and rationalizing to compensate for shortcomings. You guys get all boisterous, come on to our fan pages and throw around a bunch of irrationality and we respond with facts and figures, which always seems to stick in your collective conference craw.
Your conference (more so recently) just ebbs and flows far too much - period (especially in fan support and attendance). THAT is not the fault of the SEC, our talent, our fans or our successes. So, deal with your own pitfalls, stop whining and stop pointing fingers at other conferences under the guise that other conferences are pooping on you. Good luck to the PAC-10 and stop being so Grey!

My only angle is that Mizzu and A&M got bounced…these guys are joining the SEC and can't even compete in the post season? Ole Miss a #9 seed in the SEC tourney beat A&M in their own backyard. People say what you want but in today's society its all about money. Its no coincidence that the past 2 National Champs in BB was South Carolina. I expect A&M and Mizzu to do much better next year with that SEC badge on their jersey…just a hunch

The ending of the Fresno State/Pepperdine game was the most brutal ending to the season that I can remember as a Fresno State fan. The Bulldogs were in control the entire game with 5-0 and 5-2 leads. Was looking forward to a regional final with Stanford and then boom, the season was over. Just a heartbreaker.

The gamecocks havent lost in the postseason since 2010! We have won back to back titles so you west coast guys can throw whoever you want at the SEC and we will beat them. I mean cmon the final four last year had 3 SEC teams from one division. The championship series in baseball was two SEC teams and in football it was two SEC teams. The SEC is better because we care more. We have more fans. We put more money into athletics etc..

BA got it right. Most of the ACC temas lost in regional finals. Clemson lost to South Carolina in two highly contested one-run games that went down the wire and they were not an ACC power this season. The OP is just another typically selective/subjective SEC fan who needs to be told how great their conference is every day. Most of this comes primarily from Gamecock fans.

Pathetically sad that UCLA, which has the bats and arms to go all the way and is playing incredible baseball, could only muster up 1,291 fans for their regional victory game.

Man, do SEC fans just make a living talking down about other conferences in every sport? What a sad situation.
Btw, The top 3 all time baseball programs are in the Pac 12, we by far own the most baseball titles, and if the SEC won 10 more in a row that would not change.
How does it taste?

When I look at the bracket, it appears the SEC and Pac12 were perceived as the 2 best conferences by the NCAA. There was no possibility of a #1 seed SEC team playing a #1 seed PAC12 team in Super Regionals. LSU and Oregon St were the only SEC-Pac12 matchup in regional play. Am I overthinking this? Was this a geographical thing? I for one would like to see super regionals where the top 2 conferences battle in best of 3 series, as opposed to one game in Omaha (possibly two). This would even given cinderalla a better shot of making the ball. What are your thoughts? Keep up all the great work. Love the college coverage! Ry

Shawn, I think we had the ACC rated just right this year. Our preseason rankings had 3 SEC teams in the top 4. Ask the NCAA why it gave Miami and Virginia No. 1 seeds; we didn't do that, and we didn't have Miami ranked. I think you're barking up the wrong tree.

Will baseball america finally realize the ACC is not the SEC in baseball. Every year BA overrates this conference and every year they stink it up in the NCAA's. What is with the ACC love affair. I think is has been since the 1950's they won a NCAA Baseball Championship? Can you say always OVERRATED.
