What the above Oregon fan doesn't take into account is that the baseball Gods make it even when one team has been shorted. Kent State didn't give up 11 walks - the umpire through his extreme and inconsistent misuse of what is commonly referred to as the strike zone won that game for KSU. There was no "zone" it was only a strike if it came down the middle of the plate halfway between the letters and knees. Last night was more like it should be. Nobody's perfect but KSU got ripped off the night before when it comes to balls and strikes - glad to see that the baseball God(s) eventually make all things equal.

I have to admit meekly tonight that yes, I'm an Oregon fan, but...
What an embarrassment. There is no excuse to lose a game when you're walked 11 times. It was bad enough that, even if they advance, the last two games will have to be masterpieces to get over the taste of this one.
At no point in that rambling, incoherent game were they even close to anything that could be considered a super-regional team. Everyone in this country is now dumber for having witnessed it. May God have mercy on our souls.
But it was an exciting ending.
