It's too bad that things change and there is a new chapter in the College World Series, but you deal with it.
It's going to take time to get use to a new stadium. It won't be over night, but you look at the positives.
Great article on this topic. .

I traveled to Rosenblatt all the way from Charlottesville, Virginia with my mom in 2003. That was years before UVA could be considered a contender to get through a regional. My mom and I have a deep love of baseball, and wanted to be part of what everyone had described as the incredible atmosphere at the CWS - and Rosenblatt Stadium. Everything about our experience lived up to the hype. The level of competition was outstanding, and we loved the old ballpark. Having spent a lot of years at Memorial Stadium before the Orioles moved to Camden Yards we knew we would have to accommodate the old park in some ways, rather then the park accommodating us. Traffic was terrible, parking was always a challenge and when the bathrooms were ancient. But the place had the feeling of dear old friend. All the inconveniences were part of the charm. We were happy to crowd into the concourse before and after the games because we never bumped into anyone who wasn't thrilled to be there. We laughed about the smell of the old cement that made up the facility - years of peanuts and sodas and hot dogs ground into the surfaces. It seemed like a place where baseball was honored, not just played. You can't build that into a facility. I was lucky to get back to Rosenblatt to see UVA play at the CWS. I have to admit it was a lot more relaxing when I went as fan without a team in 2003! My second trip to Rosenblatt was also different because I had seen the initial construction for the new park. From here in Virginia, I think that's what it will be called for awhile "The New Park in Omaha." It will have to earn it's real name. Thanks, Aaron, for giving me a glimpse at the new facility. I'm sure it's beautiful. I hope to see it soon. I hope by June it's a little worn in. For now my heart still belongs to the field on the hill.

My parents have had season seats to the series for 30 years. They were recently handed down to me and I had to decide if I would move to the new stadium with the CWS. I was skeptical. According to the new rules, there will be no more cornhole in the parking lot, the traffic getting in and out of downtown will not be a day at the beach either. But I set foot in that stadium last night and it is remarkable. The scoreboard is ridiculous, my seats were very comparable to the view I had at Rosenblatt and the rows have a whole lot more leg room (I am 6'1'' 225) which was very appreciated. I live in Austin, TX now, but I made the trip for that game. Wanted to see the future of college baseball. I didn't make that trip without visiting the past though. Rosenblatt still brings a tear to my eye. The memories we have had there with our parents and friends will never be forgotten. I will be a father soon and now I see where his memories will be. I am proud to be from Omaha, the new stadium is beautiful. Yes, we will grow to love it. Just not yet. Thanks for the great post, Aaron. College baseball is better for what Baseball America does. Fare thee well, Johnny Rosenblatt Stadium.
