Thanks for the great article on USM baseball. The last paragraph really epitomizes what USM baseball is all about. You are correct in stating that USM fans take pride in their team. We may not have the largest fan base for our athletic teams, but I assure we have some of the most loyal and passionate in the country.

The Big East is not a baseball conference. When they win some OOC games that are actual competition, then they will give them more recognition.

Aaron, USM fans gave you a pretty hard time Monday during the chat…..thanks for the dap. You are right, there are plenty of good teams out there trying to crack the top 25, sometimes we go a little overboard to make sure our team is included in the talk. This weekend v. Tulane is going to be big, these are 2 schools that have a history of good baseball and dont like each other very much.

Aaron: Check out Mark Anderson the SMC Friday Starter. Mark has a 3-1 record, 1.95 era, 19k, 23 hits issued and 9 BB in 32.1 innings pitched. Not bad he has had very little run support so he has pitched under a great deal of pressure each outing.

All I read is about Ryan Wright, Joe Panik I know they are very good players in the BE but
what about Daniel DiBartolomeo 2B West Virginia Univ. ? He led the BE in hitting in 09 !
