@Bob Peter what is an unpire? USC are the national champs because you lost twice...in a row. Be happy at #10 you certainly don't deserve it.

Florida State and Clemson head to head is a tough one, I admit. But over the course of a full season, we felt Florida State's resume was better. Since that series sweep to Clemson, FSU won the ACC tournament as well as getting to Omaha, that all factors into the equation. We've never done our final poll by just taking the final standings from Omaha and then working from there. I appreciate your interest and thoughtful question.

I don't understand Clemson's # 10 ranking. The coaches poll had them # 4. Admittedly Clemson had a worse record than many teams ranked lower, but in the NCAA Clemson got the best of everyone they played except South Carolina, including Southern Mississippi, Auburn, Alabam, Arizona State, and Oklahoma. And if the unpire had correctly called batter's interference in the 7th inning of the deciding game with South Carolina, that game could have ended differently. When Clemson found itself in must-win situations in the last part of season they came through until the two games with South Carolina, including a sweep of Florida State to win the Atlantic Division title of the ACC. How you can have Florida State 4 places above Clemson is hard to fathom!

If ASU can find some pitching, I see both Pac-10 schools back in Omaha next year!

It was tough with only two spots for pitchers, but for what it's worth, I voted for Cooper as Most Outstanding Player. Really, Cooper, Price, Roth and Dyson all would have been deserving of spots on the team. Those guys were spectacular.

How was Blake Cooper and Matt Price not on the team as a pitcher?
