You can't punish the bears…for scheduling a ridiculous schedule (number 2) at the beginning of the year and then have teams subsequently be awful. Also, I am not saying you are incorrect that Kansas may deserve it…but the Bears better RPI combined with the committees love affair with Baylor will cause the jump.

There are 30 automatic bids awarded to conference champions, and these 18 are safe bets to be one-bid leagues: America East, Atlantic 10, Atlantic Sun, Big Ten, Colonial Athletic Association, Horizon, Ivy, Metro-Atlantic, Mid-American, Mid-Eastern, Missouri Valley, Northeast, Ohio Valley, Patriot, Summit, Southwestern, Western Athletic, West Coast.

Toughest schedule in the nation? Where do you get that? Boyd’s has their SOS at 41, and WarrenNolan at 31. This is a bad year for the Big 12, and Baylor is just 9-13 in a disappointing conference. That is far from the toughest schedule in the nation.

If Baylor sweeps this weekend (which is not a given) then they will be locked in. They won't even need to win a game at the Big 12 tournament. Toughest schedule in the nation combined with quality series wins will bump them over Kansas.

Enjoyed hearing you today on our local show with Taylor. Even though I live in the heart of ACC country, I am a SoCon grad. Even though my school is not even in the running for the conference tournament (Furman), I am a big conference fan and am glad you think the conference has a shot at 3 bids. Do you see any success for them or will it depend on match ups? Thanks
