Aaron, check your top 25 rating. ASU has a 11-2 Top 25 Record, not 5-1. 3 wins against UCLA, and Auburn each, 2-0 against Fullerton, 2-1 against Oregon and 1-2 against WSU. Oh, and a #1 RPI rating.
Posted by Craig Miller | May 18, 2010 at 11:38 am | ShortcutFullerton, Auburn and Washington State were not ranked at the time of the meetings, which is what we go by. It’s not a perfect system, but going through every week and changing every team’s top 25 record as teams fall in and out of the rankings would require far too much labor, and would not necessarily be more instructive than looking at the rankings at the time of the meetings. Clemson, for instance, or LSU were playing well early this season, and it was impressive to win a series against those teams, even though they have since fallen out of the rankings.
