As an avid Oregon fan/alum, it’s nothing short of remarkable too see this program in year #2 do what they’ve done. Going down into L.A., and taking two of three from UCLA, and it was no fluke, is very exciting. All the way out where I live back east, it’s been fun to watch games online and follow this program’s rise. With the unlimited resources Oregon’s athletic department has, this baseball program should be around for a long time and I know that has to piss off Oregon State backers up there in Corvalis, I love it!

Great blog entry on the Ducks. Well written, and articulate. Go Ducks, and let’s cross our fingers that they might even finish hot and host a regional in the brand new PK Stadium.

He'd probably be my top hitter at this point, Dalton. He and Drew Pomeranz would compete for the overall player of the year award.

GIven Oregon's strength of schedule and high RPI, do you think they have an outside shot at hosting a regional if they finish strongly against the remaining portion of their schedule? A beautiful stadium with an artificial surface and pumped up fan base has to get someone at the NCAA office pretty excited about ticket sales, right?

[...] Cox, a lefthanded hitter, is destroying lefthanded pitching to the tune of .467/.554/.622, and Van Horn said many of his hits against lefties have gone to the opposite field, demonstrating his maturity. And he’s not just padding his numbers against soft pitching; on the contrary, Cox is hitting .531/.600/.844 with two homers and 16 RBIs on Fridays, according to collegesplits.com. Read More… [...]
