It has been a botched investigation from the start driven initially by the rumblings of a disgruntled employeee. As for the phone calls, I believe the rule that makes these calls impermissable was changed last week.   Its a joke. The fact that the NCAA is pursuing this on any front with regards to Coach Murphy seems to be a bit over the top. Lisa Love may try to take the heat off her, but the truth is that ASU compliance has failed to do their job. Murphy was given glowing recommendations each and every year in his annual review. He was commended for the results his players achieved on the field and in the classroom.  The baseball program was called a "model program" by the athletic department.  I think the NCAA wants to get ASU for its prior mishaps (Loren Wade etc.....) and can use this situation to get ASU.  So Lisa Love shouldnt think this is going to end anything. The NCAA will probably come after ASU hard but I do think that the charges against Murph are not factual and any indiscretions were unintentional and minor.
