In A Word—Wow!

OMAHA—Texas always seems to have a flair for the dramatic, and the Longhorns did it again in Friday night’s 4-3 win over Arizona State. Cameron Rupp tied the game with a one-out homer in the bottom of the ninth to deep, deep, deep center field. Teammate Connor Rowe won it with a walk-off homer to left that sent Texas to the CWS Finals against LSU. Texas coach Augie Garrido, Rupp and Rowe talk about the exciting finish.

It would be GREAT to see more press conf videos. This is filling a niche that’s pretty void right now in college baseball, vlogs. Appreciate you guys boldly going where too few dare.

Pretty incredible to see what’s transpired on the left side of the bracket. A crash & burn from CSF wasn’t so hot from my standpoint, so LSU making it was otherwise an almost scripted event given that quick Titan catastrophe. But Texas certainly has made things interesting… in every game they’ve played so far.

A six ringer, and two five ringers going at it in the finals! ‘Titans’ still clash regardless. ;-)

Too bad for college baseball that the loathsome and abusive Augie “DWI” Garrido is in the finals. It’s a slap in the face to all the decent and law-abiding college coaches.

Fred would get a real kick out of “Inning by Inning” doc aired on ESPN after the CWS last year. Bring the kiddies with their popcorn… Augie will provide the salt.

He’s an institution; he owns the place.
