CWS Day Two Postgame

OMAHA—Aaron & I had some thoughts on the second day of the 2009 College World Series. It was a great day of baseball that had twists, turns and tremendous play, as well as a memorable error and plenty of walks.

We break it down in six good minutes of college baseball talk.

Good vlog guys. John’s a natural, and if Aaron reduces his whiplash risk, he’ll be right there with John. ;-) Enjoying your new medium! Keep it up.

Hard to believe you guys are so doubtful about CSF’s prospects vis-a-vis your optimism NC can still do it. I think no doubt ASU & LSU (reminder: your #1 & 2 teams in the nation) are in the driver seats. Some that might have gone 0-4 to this point, might have forgotten their own poll; wink. Four wins in a row against this level of comp is a bruttle looking road ahead for the losers, but it will surely be interesting. Having hurdled NC, Leake & Spence have got to put ASU odds on favs at this point. Looking foreward to your next vlog.

I found this pretty stunning. Here is the latest RPI per Boyd’s World:

Division I Overall
Rank Rating W L W L Team

1 0.633 47 15 47 15 Cal State Fullerton
2 0.624 47 14 47 14 Texas
3 0.621 47 17 47 17 North Carolina
4 0.620 50 12 50 12 Arizona State
5 0.614 52 16 52 16 Louisiana State
6 0.613 48 14 48 14 Virginia
7 0.609 40 22 40 22 Arkansas
40 0.561 40 25 40 25 Southern Mississippi

Top 7 are all in CWS.
