Like some of the Longhorn teams earlier this decade (2000, 2002, 2004, 2005), it seems that this team has nerves of steel. They were involved in a nip-and-tuck game against Army on Friday that they won 3-1. Then UT follows it up with an epic 25-inning 3-2 victory against Boston College on Saturday. Those two games featured Texas' great piching. Today's game featured Texas' bats rather than their pitching, as Texas scored 8 runs in the bottom of the ninth to win 14-10 after a walk-off grand slam.

Everything seems to be coming together for this team at the right time. They won the Big 12 regular season title, followed it up with a conference tournament championship, and swept through their regional in dramatic fashion. I like the way Texas matches up versus TCU, especially considering that the super regional will be in Austin. Hook 'em Horns!

Brandon, I didn't talk about it much because it wasn't a very compelling regional—as you put it, Arkansas absolutely destroyed that regional. But check last night's "Saturday Recap, Sunday Preview" post for my quick thoughts on the Hogs. I have to imagine there's very little chance FSU gets sent to Fayetteville. If that happens, there's something seriously wrong.
