As of 3/13/208
Boyds has an RPI of: 44
Warren Nolan has an RPI of: 53
Those are respectable numbers.
15-5-1 W/L. You can only win with the schedule you have...

The tourney this weekend down in waco sure had a regional feel. There were 4 solid ball clubs and some hard fought battles. Mississippi state is going to have a good year if they can get that kind of production from their starters week in and week out cause they can flat out hit the baseball. Weatherford was absolutely nasty on friday and outshined wilson i think. He was in the zone all day with a solid fastball that appears to have a slight cut to it, a slider that he was painting black with and a decent change. Wilson was pretty impressive too but lacked the command of Weatherford. Our lefty, Aaron Poreda came out dealing on saturday and then on sunday sinkerballing Jason Dufloth found himself in a duel with Mississippi States guy Johnson who threw the ball really well. He commanded 3 pitches and was super aggressive. The most exciting game of the weekend had to have been the slugfest between Baylor and Miss St. on sat night. Watch out for Baylor weve seen them 2 times and not played well against them but they are a solid young team with a lot of speed and talent.

Irvine has been winning. But the schedule includes series wins at home against Nevada, Utah, LMU (home and home) and Houston. None of those teams crack the RPI top 100. Irvine should continue to feast this weekend when New Mexico visits. I wouldn't think this non-conference schedule will get much respect come regional time.
