A solid game by Price,concidering it was only the 1st game and it was against #1 Rice. The Rays GM was impressed.

I was very impressed with the way Vandy hit the ball around. Every hit was sharp and hard. And Alvarez’s shot to right center was absolutely ridiculous.

I watched the game coutesy of CSTV and Price was solid, but definately not dominating. It was my first chance to watch Vandy, but at times Alvarez looked shaky defensively at third. I have not seen enough to know if this is cause for concern or not, but thought it worth mentioning.

Not sure I would call that start dominating. It was solid and he did the job, but he still allowed 3 runs in 5 2/3 innings and 9 guys on base.

Vandy couldn’t ask for a better start to the season, could they? Price healthy and flashing dominance in the second week of February and Alvarez already raking. Such star power…
