Rockies Organization Report

Jack Etkin -Premium Content

Shortstop Troy Tulowitzki and catcher Chris Iannetta spent most of January working out at Coors Field, just as they did a year ago. Only this time, they participated in the Rockies winter development program with an eye toward being in Colorado's Opening Day lineup. Both spent time in the big leagues at the end of 2006.

Ask BA

Jim Callis -

How different are the upsides for elite third basemen Alex Gordon, Evan Longoria and Ryan Braun? How does Michael Burgess compare with other top high school outfielders in recent years? How much of a prospect is 7-foot-1 righthander Ryan Doherty?

Midwest On The Rise

Aaron Fitt -

Before I get to today's mailbag question, I just want to touch briefly on Wednesday's action. There were just a few teams in action, but Arizona's Brad Glenn put on a show in the Wildcats' 13-2 win against Utah Valley State. Glenn, a sophomore left fielder, belted three home runs and just missed a fourth when he doubled high off the left-field wall. That offense is rolling right now, and as I mentioned in Tuesday's College Blog, they've got some quality arms as well. We'll see what happens in conference play. On to the mailbag:

Caribbean Series Top 10

Chris Kline -

We actually only went with a top prospect for the Series, but here are the top 10 things that I loved about being there.10. Tony Batista not being able to stop his momentum and running all the way into right-center field whenever he ranged to his left at third base.

Thanks For Coming Out

Jose Lima gave one of the best performances of the Series, in what was the best games of the entire week. And it didn't even matter that he lost. After pitching eight brilliant innings, Lima allowed a double and then a walk before being pulled in favor of Arnaldo Munoz, who gave up the game-winning single to Javier Valentin as Puerto Rico salvaged a victory to finish a game behind the Dominican Republic. But the game didn't really matter, as the Dominican Republic had wrapped up the Caribbean Series title the night before when Puerto Rico lost to Venezuela.
